John S. K. Ng, Ph.D
President
John has over 25 years of management consultancy and training experience with corporations, academic institutions and non-profit organizations. A leader and trainer, John is well-versed in the art of people motivation and his warm personality has endeared him to many.
His expertise includes leadership coaching, team effectiveness, change management and interpersonal skills. He is expert in mediation and conflict management, and is a Mediation Consultant with the Subordinate Courts in Singapore and a member of the prestigious Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution and the National Institute of Dispute Resolution based in USA.
He also serves as consultant to companies such as Singapore Airlines, American Standard and Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner. He received his Ph.D. in interpersonal communication from Northwestern University, USA. Daniel Ong
Senior Consultant
Daniel has 19 years experience in the hospitality industry working with/in key deluxe properties in Asia, consulting on-going and opening new establishments. He has worked and consulted for hotels (15 years with Hyatt International, holding senior positions in key properties in Singapore, Shanghai, opening properties in China and Japan, was also the Area Specialist for Room Operations in both South East Asia and also China for Hyatt)
Among his many experiences, Daniel worked for a high profile Town Club in Singapore as it’s Chief Operating Officer; head of the opening team setting up a high-end boutique hotel in Shanghai, dealing will all aspects of the set up, from recruitment, engineering, building design, interior decorations, licencing and permits, and coordination with various authorities and govermental departments.
Daniel has consulted with up-scale serviced residences in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; a high-end boutique hotel in Bangkok, Thailand and an up-coming wholesale/retail Coffee brand in Los Angeles, USA.
His main area of expertise is in Operational Management, Revenue Management and the Sales and Marketing functions of the establishments. Through his extensive experience in senior management, he also process knowledge of technical related, engineering Management.
Daniel has experience in dealing and advising on weathering both positive and negative economic cycles in the operations and has the ability to recommend turnkey solutions and also advising establishments to be adaptive to ever-changing environments in terms of aligning establishing operations to gain maximum mileage from the differing stages of the economic cycle. He enjoys working in in challenging atmospheres.
He is an advocate of the humanistic approach to management, working through teams and building up foundations. He looks at creative methods to bring live to often mundane and routine practices. Gunnar Lee-Miller, Ph.D.
Senior Consultant
Gunnar has a Ph.D. in Philosophy and has completed undergraduate work in economics and exercise science. He has studied at Harvard University (Boston, USA) and Occidental College (Los Angeles, USA). Additionally, he has taught in and traveled to many countries throughout Asia and the Middle East.
Having been involved in a variety of cross-cultural experiences, Gunnar has both great cultural sensitivities and strong interpersonal skills which allow him to relate well to all of his clients. Gunnar has considerable analytical competencies, his ability to diagnose accurately and provide keen insights into both organizational and personal challenges make him a superb consultant. He has conducted many teaching and training programs and his effective communication skills, coupled with great clarity of thought has endeared him to many of his participants.
He used to run his own real estate development company in California for the past five years. Involved in all aspects of residential construction, he managed teams of sub-contractors as well as all financial and legal negotiations. Additionally, while pursuing his academic credentials, he directed a non-profit organization for several years overseeing a staff of fifty.
Gunnar has spent a good portion of his life in athletics and was a nationally ranked pole vaulter in the US. He is currently the record holder for his college and has been inducted into the Occidental Hall of Fame. He volunteers his time as a USA Track & Field coach assisting in Olympic development programs in Asia. His experiences in the athletic arena translate well to the marketplace, especially in his coaching and training sessions. |

Lisa Lee-Miller, M.A.
Senior Consultant
Lisa Lee-Miller is well known for both her relational skills and her wide range of professional experiences. She completed her Masters degree in Intercultural Studies with a concentration in leadership and has an undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in Boston. Born in Korea but raised and educated in the U.S., her passion for leadership training and development as well as cross-cultural exchange is a natural fit with her background and educational pursuits. She has also traveled to nearly 30 countries teaching, working, and researching.
After undergraduate studies in Boston, Lisa worked in Washington DC with a telecommunications-engineering company where she assisted in the management of engineering consultants. Later she moved to Los Angeles and worked in a graduate school as a recruiter and admissions chair. For the past five years Lisa and her husband have been running their own real estate development company in California. Lisa is a licensed agent with a wide range of clients and experiences in contract negotiations, marketing and sales.
Lisa is a certified executive coach with Linkage USA. Lisa and her husband have moved to Singapore to further their business portfolio. |

Kenneth Yap, MBA

Kenneth's interest is in developing people, to improve the quality of working life and organizational effectiveness. His clients now include Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS), SIA Engineering Division, Singapore Academy of Law, BHLB PacificTrust and Victoria Junior College, for communication skills and leadership programs.His previous experience as an Organizational Psychologist with the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), equipped him to undertake organizational development projects.
Kenneth obtained his MBA from the University of Edinburgh Management School (UK) in 2000. He is an Adjunct Feedback Specialist with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in their Asian operations.
He enjoys good food, meeting people and is comfortable interacting with people from various cultures. Kenneth engages in a variety of recreational activities including tennis, golf, cycling, scuba diving, and sailing. |

Tun-Cheng Ong, MBA
Senior Consultant
Tun-Cheng has over 18 years experience working with multinational corporations such as Hewlett-Packard in different roles from account management, consulting and business development. He has managed a business unit within the South-East Asia region for HP and held the position of Asia-Pacific Business Development Manager for HP Complementary Products Division till 2001.
Since 2002, he has been involved in corporate training and executive education. Prior to Meta, Tun-Cheng was working with the National University of Singapore (NUS) Extension as a senior consultant, developing and marketing executive programs (both custom and bespoke programs) for local as well as overseas clients. He also led in developing partner relationships between NUS Extension, and UCLA Extension.
Tun-Cheng is actively serving as a lay leader and board member of his church. Tun-Cheng is a graduate of the National University of Singapore and of the UCLA Anderson School of Management. |

Peng-Soon Lim, Ph.D.

Dr. Lim is a Associate Senior Consultant of Meta. He works in partnership with organizations in designing and implementing business solutions in change management, leadership development and team development challenges and issues. He brings with him about 25 years of human resource development experience from the corporate before he established his training consultancy in 1997.
Dr Lim. has presented in many conferences including the 1998 American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) International Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco. In March 1999, the ASTD appointed Dr. Lim as the Core Team Member & Zone Leader for Asia, for its publication on learning organizations.
From 2001 to 2006, Dr. Lim designed and facilitated a series of workshops on change management in the Executive Management Development Program for the senior executives of the Macau Civil Service, under the auspices of the Singapore Civil Service.
Dr. Lim is a certified Master Trainer of the Learning Organizational Transition workshops by William Bridges & Associates (www.wmbridges.com). He is a member of the Academy of Management USA, and the Singapore Institute of Management.
Dr. Lim holds a doctoral degree (with distinction) in education and human development, specializing in organizational change, from The George Washington University, a Masters degree in human resource development from the same university, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Singapore. He also holds the Diploma in Banking & Finance and the Diploma in Training & Development Management (Silver Medal Award Winner).
Dr. Lim is the recipient of the 2004 Ralph Upson Stone Award, given by the Graduate School of Education and Human Development of The George Washington University, for a doctoral student entering the dissertation phase of the doctoral studies who possesses academic excellence, and "who represents and actualizes the self-less development of others". |

Chye-Tin Lim

Mrs Lim Chye Tin is currently the Dean of the Academy of Principals and a special consultant to the Ministry of Education’s Gifted Education Branch, helping with the conceptualization and organization of their upcoming ‘APEC conference on Giftedness.’
Prior to this appointment, Mrs Lim served as the Principal of St. Andrew’s Junior College. Her tenure there included considerable involvement in the planning, design, development and relocation of SAJC to the current St Andrew’s Village. Mrs Lim held other appointments, including being the principal of Outram Secondary School; the head of the Science Department at Bukit Merah Secondary School; a Specialist Science Inspector, in Curriculum Planning Branch of the Ministry of Education.
As a member of the Ministry of Education HQ, Mrs Lim was a Senior Inspector of schools where she supervised a group of secondary schools in the west zone. Her appointment as Deputy Director of Staff Training followed. In this capacity she developed the Training Framework for all categories of staff in the schools as well as the Training Administration System, subsequently also used by the Civil Service college.
She led the drive towards People Developer Standards in the Ministry of Education as well as in selected schools. At various times in her career, Chye Tin has been Chairman of the Science Teachers’ Association, Chairman of Singapore Educational Administration Society, Chairman of Principals’ Academy Inc, as well as Chairman of the South Zone Schools Sports Council. She was part of the pro-tem committee looking into the formation of the Academy of Principals and has been a member of the APS board since its inception. |

Joan Swee

Joan has 15 years of training and development experience. She started with Hewlett Packard (Singapore) facilitating employee and management development programs including Communication, Managing at HP, Performance Evaluation, Selection & Interviewing and Telephone Skills. Whilst living in Hong Kong for 10 years, she was involved in leadership roles and managing teams for community groups.
She joined Meta in 1999 and has since trained for and consulted with clients such as Beca-Carter Hollings, BHLB-Pacific Trust (Malaysia), HDB, MCDS, National Association of Travel Agents (NATAS), Singapore Academy of Law, and SIA Engineering Division in programs ranging from Affirmation, Communication & Relationships, Customer Service Excellence, Managing Conflicts and Teambuilding.
Outside of work, Joan keeps her energy high with a great passion for people. She renders herself in community service to the widows and the fatherless and is a volunteer-counselor to others in need. To keep herself fit and trim, she takes regular brisk walks early in the morning and plays the occasional game of tennis. |

He joined Meta from F5 Networks Singapore Pte Ltd, one of the industry's leading networking company. One of the pioneers of F5's business operation start-up, he contributed to its sales channel development in the Asia-Pacific. He has a wide experience in the IT and network industry, with strong expertise in sales and marketing. He is experienced in product, sales, and post-sales customer training. His previous positions as Regional Product Manager (SCS Networks) and Regional Support Engineer (Far East Computers) saw him deliver training in the region with customer assignments in countries such as Hong Kong and China.
Chan Mun holds a Masters in Business Administration from Swinburne University of Technology (Australia), majoring in enterprise innovation and received his Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic. |
